9am in the UK and whilst Ean in the U.S. is sleeping, Svetlana has us mixing body lotion with inks and watercolours, closing our eyes and moving the colour with our fingers. The smell of the lotion is strangely out of context and fuses with the sensory, tactile experience. In India it is lunch-time.
When we meet later in the day for Pragya’s experimental workshop it very late for her and Ean is just starting her day. We explore ideas of dark matter through a series of mark-making prompts that generate a complex layering. Listening to Pragya talk about black holes and the mysteries of the universe whilst engaged in this sensory, physical activity elicits a deeper curiosity and receptivity. By the time we finish it is Tuesday in India.
